The Ghana Revenue Authority,(GRA) begun the implementation of the Tax Identification Number (TIN) on April 1 this year, 2018.
Its implementation is aimed at generating unique numbers for all workers to help broaden the tax base for the country.
Per the directive, the Passport Office, the Registrar General’s Department, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority as well as banks are not supposed to transact business with any individual who does not have a TIN.
But how has compliance been so far, my colleague Anita Arthur has more in the following report.
